This is what I think really happened. They captured Zarqawi weeks ago and had him in detention. They were torturing him and trying to get information from him by "putting underwear on his head". Unfortunately things got out of control and they over did the "underwear" thang, and he was killed. Don't ask me how a guy gets all bruised and bloodied from putting underwear on his head.

So now they have a dead body on their hands. They call in an air strike on a house nearby. Then they transport Zarqawi to the site. Pretend they pull him out of the rubble (any pictures of the house yet?) on a stretcher, tell the media that he was still alive and mumbled something incoherent (like they would understand Arabic) and then died.

That way they cover for the torture and get to announce a cool operation with the smart bombs, which will hopefully give a boost to the war effort.

I dunno what really happened, but judging from the BS of the past, this seems to make the most sense to me. What do you think?

Can't wait till our country is back in the hands of patriots and true Americans, instead of these whacky neocons.
