I especially like this guy's perspective:

Hmmmm....velly intewesting...;)

As the author notes, some of the differences could be the result of the focus and color between the two images, but...

It would not surprise me at all to see AMD pull some kind of 'wabbit out of its hat at about the same time that Conroe finally ships. I have always been one to favor understatement PR--that is, you let your competitor wax euphorically about the new product he's going to produce, and allow him to gush expansively about how much better it will be than the older product you've been shipping for awhile--and then, when the time is right, you let loose your bombshell with barely a squeak--and your product itself talks with the thunder of Zeus from Mt. Olympus...;) This kind of marketing is very effective and works very well. 'Vee shall see 'vhat vee shall see....;)"

Such a perspective is consistent with my perception of how Dirk and Hector are managing the affairs of the "new AMD". More importantly, it's consistent with Dirk's 33% marketshare objective in 2008 ;-)
