I don't follow this argument. IMO, if the US public is not behind him it's not possible for him to start a war that a priori he can't win -- notwithstanding the Zionists foaming at the mouth for him to do so.

I would go so far as saying that, even if there was another 9/11 type event with thousands of Americans killed, he would not get the public support to attack Iran as he received after 9/11 itself. In fact, I think that the American public is sick of these bloody Zionist wars which involve the deaths and wounding of thousands of Americans and the cost of multibillions of dollars -- and without any apparent benefit to the US whatsoever.
