Pleased to meet you, hope to guess your name, what's puzzling me (not really <g>), is the nature of your game. I'll let you in a little secret, I don't need any help, and I probably have more confidence in my fingernail clippings than some do in their entire body. So maybe your assumptions about me are incorrect, for I'm not lost, but I do appreciate your concern. I enjoy Paul Van Eeden for his dry and pragmatic approach to gold. I never considered him a "guru" for trading and he will be the first to admit that he is not a market timer or much of a trader. I guess that is why his prediction for POG to 900-1100 has a window of 12-60 months. He simply does not know when it will reach those levels, but, based on his FA he is fairly confident it will get there. So am I. What I found interesting about Van Eeden's interview was his statement that we are seeing gold treated like a commodity and "hot" money of the past year or two is exiting in mass and in trend with all the others. He thinks the dollar will continue to strengthen for a while, but will probably revert to weakness before the end of this year. As for all this talk about the Shed being full of gamblers, I can only say that we all may have a different barometer for measuring if one is an investor, a trader, or a degenerate gambler <g> I do my best to be all three, as the real secret is to not care what the outcome may be, and only then will objective choices be made. A little of the Buddha for you to chew on perhaps. I like Hamilton too. I don't have to have a favorite, and I don't have to agree with 100% of what they write/say. I like to pick and choose what works for me and my long term strategy. Did I mention that I have more than doubled my net worth in the past 24 months (as measured in liquid assets you can put in a suitcase and take with you, wherever you may like to go, oh, and that is post tax BTW). I have found great value on the Shed. If you don't, maybe it is not the place for you, or maybe you need to revisit some of your assumptions. Good Luck TH
