Last night I watched a program on "the history channel" titled the "mini ice age" or something like that. Apparently for 400 years up to around 1,400 we had an incredibly warm period (7-8 degrees above todays temps) and the human race flourished. Then came (in a period of only 10 years) a mini ice age wherein temps dropped about 4 degrees from todays and all hell broke loose. Its believed this caused a number of problems, besides MANY deaths, the french revolution etc etc. This period lasted about 200 years then things began to warm up again, NOW this program was saying we could be facing another MINI ice age similar to above. After watching that show and the effects of the weather, it seemed to me that within the parameters above 7 degrees above 4 degrees below we would be better off with the global warming then the global ice age. jdn
