Global warming will never win an election. Well, maybe not never, but not any time soon.

When I read that piece I was struck about how it compared to campaigns that focus on "9/11 changed everything." I'm picturing a Gore administration that would throw itself into the war against global warming that we now have against the war on terror. And imagining the whiplash that the transition could produce.
