It's only "obvious" once you define the terms we've been talking about... including now "rational planning", and how that fits into things like awareness and intelligence. It seems plenty rational to me to want to eat the food available at that time!?

The "nervous system" like organs or other "systems" are essentially specialized cell colonies... what makes you think there aren't more primitive examples of some of those traits in life without nervous systems??? That function came from somewhere didn't it??? :

But you don't need a nervous system to do that...
