la-

big mistake i think not accepting the offer of provisions.

but... but... that would be as unmanly as stopping to ask for
directions. ;-)

here's the latest on the delivery boyz (monday morning):

Position report: Mon, 12 Jun 2006 08:10 MDT

Yo-ho-ho Dusty. Dennis began calling about 8:10 and the bits and pieces gleaned from the half-dozen or so truncated messages was that they're sailing with decent wind after motor-sailing most of the night. Cypremort Point, the place they went to Sunday to get supplies, was wiped out in one of the hurricanes last year, but they managed to get fuel and water and some bread and cans of tuna. At the time of the call, they were about 30 miles off the coast at

29:08 N
93:10 W

Dennis estimates that if the wind/weather holds, they'll get to Port Aransas Wednesday or Thursday, at the latest. More when I hear it.

yo ho ho howdy howard-

things are looking swell. fuel, water, bread, tuna...
sounds like lunch in guantanamo bay prison to me.

the boyz are 218 nm from aransas entrance channel and with the engine working, some light winds and some following surface current it looks like a wednesday morning arrival.

weather forecast through wednesday continues to be the same old stuff they've had for the past week.

NOAA forecast for their waters sez:

.THIS AFTERNOON... VARIABLE 10 KT OR LESS N OF 28N. SEAS 3 FT.

.TONIGHT THROUGH TUE NIGHT... W OF 93W VARIABLE WINDS 10 KT OR LESS
BECOME NW 10 TO 15 KT TUE AND TUE NIGHT. SEAS 3 TO 4 FT.

.WED...N TO NE WINDS 10 KT OR LESS. SEAS 2 FT.

.THU AND FRI...E TO SE WINDS 10 KT OR LESS. SEAS 1 FT.

Buoyweather.com says the same (see attached web page graphic)

winds were perfect at cochiti this weekend, the food was delicious (much better than bread, water and tuna) and the full moon sail was the best ever. if you can't be out on the ocean suffering with the boyz, i guess that kind of weekend is a fair substitute. <grin>
