Hi Jim, Yes, FVI is a Closed End Fund and does trade on the exchanges like a "company" stock. I did mistakenly call it an ETF. Sorry.

Actually for me, the ability of the fund to trade a "premium/discount" range around NAV gives it the extra bit of amplitude that should help in capturing some extra profits.

Yes, I think this one is best suited for retirement accounts where tax consequences from both trading and dividend will be avoided.

Hi JFH, Kavi over on the IHub boards came up with another VAlue Line based fund and this one is pure ETF. PIV is the symbol. It appears to be based more strictly on the Value Line Timeliness ranking so appears to be even of greater amplitude than the other.
