My track record has been reverting to mean about the past 18 months ;-). TJ has done better, and I think SoT, Taikun, and Tommaso have also done better.

I have a price range for gold, maybe 1400-2500. That's a big range, and my selling would depend on what else is happening.

I would look at the POG price of gold in oil also.

As you have pointed out, there's a lot of relativity in the prices.

Think of gold at 1400 when oil is $ 55 and copper is $2.70 and US treasuries are 7.5 %.

Now think of gold at 2000 when oil is $100, copper at $4.50, and treasuries are 5.5%

I think the first example is actually a higher real price for gold. So I might be selling in the first case, and maybe holding out $2500 in the second case.
