Re: Just like the last 10% increment of desktop performance.

Yes, I'm sure the 98% of desktop users that won't use hardware VT will see impressive VT performance gains, just like the 64-bit performance gains they'll see running a 64-bit CPU on Windows XP Home. I am interested in this 10% desktop performance gain you speak of. Please provide a link showing a desktop AM2 CPU performing 10% better with hardware VT versus software alone.

What happened? Why did Core and Core Duo fail to stop AMD's advance into the notebook segment?

I expect to see the same failure from NGA.

AMD positioning themselves as the low cost, low performance alternative to Intel has helped AMD increase their market share. Of course Core Solo and Core Duo weren't even available for the entire length of Q1 so it is a bit early to declare the 90-nm Turions victors over Merom. Could you please provide a link showing how much AMD's notebook market share grew this quarter?

"Remember how Core and Core Duo were going to blow AMD out of the notebook market?"

Based on the ads, one is given the impression that HP only makes Turion notebooks.
