Ahhh, so you're saying that if the stock gapped up crazily based on a knee jerk reaction to the earnings report, then the financials would flyyyyyyyy??? Hmmm. I can't say as I agree. Though I also would figure if any of the more bearish possibilities come to play in the market, financials won't be particularly strong either.

Well, for this one I think it could be said the market already rallied on this report from last fall. The stock (and the market) are obviously in the process of discounting information we'll be seeing in the headlines in 3-6 months.

Which is the main reason I stopped listening to the news and just listen the the charts anyway - I'm getting news in advance that way :^)
