It's a big universe. My ego isn't so sufficiently large that I imagine She keeps on eye on me, or Earth. I just try to live like She is.
Just large enuf to think my government is keeping an eye on me. And thee.

OK, so you aren't sceptical of all science. That's good.

No, the preferred conception of God is someone who made us in His Image and Likeness. It's perfectly clear why someone would conceive of such a god, but just because it's a comforting conception doesn't make it true.

And God could perfectly well be disinterested without being powerless, but that's another issue on the cheesy high school debate front.
