I've noticed that zealots in this arena often equate someone who is skeptical that, for example, we have identified a solution to the problem with someone who is skeptical that climate change is happening. Way too black and white for me. That's a good piece, BTW. I think, though, that it presupposes that the parties have a handle on what the "matter" provoking skepticism actually is.
