russell has been a major dope on gold and at best hypes the middle of each move, well after its underway and always well into the moment of correction. read his letters in the archive if you don't believe that. dowtheory, he's worth a read. a lot of money was made before he jumped on gold in 2001, a year well past the beginning of the move. some of us thanked him and his ten thousand readers, and sold them our shares. get it?

"Intellectual honesty and why 'bugs got it wrong" Ecire; re: your comments on intellecutal honesty & Richard Russell: If I have time later this evening, or tomorrow evening at the latest -- I'll show you what real intellectual honesty is all about...and how not being intellectually honest has led the gold 'bugs up and over the cliff for the 3rd time in 3 years. The 'bugs got it all wrong on Bernanke and on the US Dollar...and I'll prove it. And fwiw, George Soros agree's with me. This has cost gold 'bugs BIG MONEY (at much less risk) on the upside and has caused 'bugs to give back BIG MONEY in the now 3rd "100 point HUI death march" correction...by "Holding on Tight" just as the trap door once again -- opened up. Gold 'bugs are a manic lot... Deep depression at the bottoms and euphoric at the tops. ...some things never change. Fwiw: Here's the lesson to be learned from this recent episode: "Gold did it's job here... gold 'bugs didn't do theirs." -- SliderOnTheBlack
