"Is there any evidence that Chartered is making the X2 3600+? I haven't seen it."

No. It isn't an announced product, and even so, it is unlikely that AMD would identify a source. But there is that screen shot and a DC product with a 256k L2 cache and a modest clock would be a natural for outsourcing. In addition, there was that leaked specification list a couple of months ago that identified X2 processors along with L2 cache sizes, power consumption and speeds as German or Chinese. Oddly enough, the Chinese ones had small caches and modest speeds. In other words, exactly what you would expect from Chartered. True, all fairly nebulous. But until there is an official announcement, it will be no more than nebulous.
