PHD's were working at McD's can you be more specific: are they holding PhD in liberal arts such as history, music ...
Yes, I do know a couple holding MS in music from Julliard school. They taught piano BUT there is not many student nowadays taking piano so they become realtor and insurance salesperson

KLP...I think if you'll check the actual statistics and not just rely on anecdotal evidence, you'll find that the worst recession (almost to depression standards) happened in the early 80's when Reagan let Volker squeeze the economy practically to death with crushing monetary policies.

A LOT of businesses went under then.
