Oil may also be a target! Why not manufacture a housing crash in the US leading the world into a recession; any bust down in oil and gas prices will create unrest and instability in authoritarian regimes including Iran, Venezuela, Saudi and others taking the focus off the "US" bad guy. The western economies gather momentum and steam roll forward on the other side of the same recession led by sectors other than real estate.
