M-Systems-FLSH have concerns X4 technology may infringe on SNDK

Do you have a link for this? What are the concerns? Not that I would mind.

Doesn't look like Mr. Market cares one way or the other today, though. Getting taken out to the woodshed. Again.

M-Systems-FLSH disagree with competitor comments, still positive on shares@AVIA
Avian Securities continues to believe X4 will be successful since it approaches the 4-bit per cell problem from the controller side instead of the silicon side, like SNDK's IP. :theflyonthewall.com

theflyonthewall.com: M-Systems-FLSH have concerns X4 technology may infringe on SNDK IP@PACS
The firm believes FLSH X4 technology infringes on SNDK's IP and also has concerns that baseband players, like FSL, support raw NAND in their designs

Any comments on IP news for today ?

What's @AVIA and @PACS?
What comments does "M-Systems-FLSH disagree with competitor comments"?
Who is "The firm" in "The firm believes FLSH X4 technology infringes on SNDK's IP", M-systems or an analyst? Sounds like the latter, though the first part of the message implies M-systems.

I fear this may be taken a bit out of context, and it would be nice to fill in some of the context.

From my point of view, the MLC portion of X4 would probably violate SNDK IP.

I thought it was the Amtech Research which first made these comments about x4 this morning (from Briefing.com)-

13-Jun-06 08:45 ET In Play M-Systems: M.D.O.C. competition intensifying, X4 tech could be stepping on SNDK's I.P. - AmTech (27.66 ) : AmTech believes that FLSH will have to address the legal issues surrounding SNDK's I.P. If the technology has the merits to go to the production phase, firm believes SNDK could be knocking on FLSH's door for royalties. The X4 technology is based on N.A.N.D. implementation as opposed to Saifun's Nitride-based N.R.O.M. technology, which also has a similar 4 bits/cell technology. SNDK has a strong hold on N.A.N.D. M.L.C. technology and it does not stop at 2 bits/cell.
