Yes, that would make sense. And Cheney could stall the court by claiming executive privilege to leak anything he wants. Then get pardoned and able to accept the 100 million dollar payoff from Halliburton awaiting him.

I was hoping that Fitzgerald would indict Cheney being the pitbull career prosecutor that he is. Perhaps he wants to be the next multimillionaire Guilliani or Governor Spitzer.

It does seem to make Libby's position that much worse though since Rove can be called on to testify in his case. Maybe Rove turned on Libby.

It's nice to see the law and order Republicans clapping that one of their guys got off.
