Most of those existing houses are from the '40, '50, 60', and 70's than nobody wants because they are in high crime, cramped little houses. I included the '70s which were bigger but were still built with aluminum wiring and very cheap products. Before Pear Harbor they were built stronger than today.

Your comparing apples and oranges.

In the 50's there was a 2 year supply of existing housing....late 60's - 70's there was a 1 1/2 year supply... 80's there was a 1 year supply... 90's there was a 9 mos supply and in the 00's an average of 7 mos supply of existing housing.
