I'm saying that the intelligence on Iraqi WMD programs was massaged and cherry-picked to support the war, and dissenting intelligence was rejected, even when it came from US intelligence sources. It appears that if cherry picking was done, it was done in the previous 8 years to the Bush Administration as well then....look at who said all the various things about WMD from the previous era. Either they were misled, or maybe they were lying. I think they were misled ..... And speaking of misled....The CIA has come under great criticism....as well they should. There are many Bush haters there, from the looks and sounds of things. I personally don't trust any of them as far as telling the truth. I personally think that other than the "boots on the ground" human intel, we should do a clean sweep of every single person who is doing a desk job in the CIA. Too many of these people have given us not a single reason to trust them, nor reason why we could continue paying them. I do agree with this other than maybe having another agency other than the CIA that does the reviewing....With respect to the Niger yellowcake, the Senate Intelligence Committee concluded that the most that the President reasonably could have said is that Saddam "might" have been trying to obtain yellowcake from Niger, and that the CIA should have told the President and members of Congress that the State Department intelligence agency disputed this, and that the CIA was reviewing it because it had become apparent that the assessment was based on forgeries and false reports. I know you had to get that little nasty 'dig' in at the bottom...but that's your deal. You've been taking lessons from Ann Coulter or Maureen Dowd, haven't you?
