- are small cap stocks still in their bull market? I don't follow this market. - the factors that drove small cap stocks, emerging market stocks and just about everything else higher are the same that drove gold higher. I don't think so. Gold and gold stocks are driven by the fear of what is coming. Yes liquidity play a role, it will always affect speculators behave. But there is more behind the near triple of gold in the last 4 years.
