I'm not. I agree with you on that one. PLENTY of opportunities for the 'super rich' to use our massively over-complex and corrupted tax codes to 'game the system' to their own benefit.

And, hey... there is no law that says someone has to pay more taxes then they are legally required to....

The FAULT lives with the loopholes and complexities and corruption that has been layered upon the tax codes --- not with anyone who simply does the *reasonable* thing and uses those loopholes for their own benefit. (After all: that's what the special preference items are there for....)

Only a MASSIVE simplification of the system, with an associated MASSIVE elimination of loopholes and special provisions, and an appropriately LOWER tax rate (or rates...) can ever increase voluntary compliance... and eliminate the allure of complicated tax avoidance structures.
