Fundamentals are not there for a depression. Although by Kondratieff criteria (55 year or 70 year wave) we are overdue by 7 years or more. On the other hand the mining crash/Tech crash of the late nineties could have been it. It was depressing, after all. I figure the net is something like 1 million monkeys on 1 million typewriters. Eventually a brilliant solution will come out of it, and the world will be saved from itself. I keep hoping. But would one million monkey recognize the solution? Perhaps we need an evolutionary variable too. EC<:-}
