That 'government' is wholly dependent on the US for its very existance and would not last fifteen minutes without our troops -- they would be, literally, dead. At this point they exist in name only (and barely that) and do not run Iraq. As for them wanting us there, we set their house on fire and have the only water hose in town (one to small to put out the fire we started) -- but that does not mean that the Iraqi people like us, respect us or want us there. It means we have left them with no choice but to tolerate our military occupation of their country. They certainly don't respect us when we shoot their women and children and bomb their houses.
