The yellowcake secured by IAEA at Tuwaitha was, ironically, looted during the war. That material had been kept under lock and seal for 12 years before the war. Very old news.

The chemicals in the artillery shells were old, also dating back to the old days, probably dating back to the Iran-Iraq war. Again, very old news.

The justification for pre-emptive war against Iraq was that Saddam possessed the capability to attack the USA or its allies. It wasn't based on old news, but alleged new intelligence that just didn't pan out.
