The problem with voting is that we put these politically addicted types into positions of authority which makes no sense whatsoever. Instead of looking to them for 'leadership' we should be demanding that they represent OUR interests. We're the leaders, they're simply there to do our bidding. It's this bizarre voter/leader relationship that gets us into such trouble. We keep thinking that 'leaders' know what's right and will do what's right so we don't worry about Diebold and other baloney. If they were our employees OTOH we'd demand more of them including that they be honest and straightforward or we'd fire them. We need to really change our attitudes or we'll get more of the likes of Dubyette and Delay.
