I'm sure of both of those things (things are always changing, and the debt is sure climbing...), but you haven't established that 'global warming' is the MOST SERIOUS of all things that I should be worried about. :-) As with many things, I'm sure the knife cuts at least two ways, so it kinda depends on who's ox is getting gored.... If I am a resident of a low-lying Pacific island, or a midwestern wheat grower, (or perhaps a polar bear...), ice melt and rising ocean levels and higher continental temperatures would definitely be a bad thing for me. But if I'm a Russian interested in drilling in the Arctic, or an Asian or European shipper looking forward to a relatively ice-free North West passage, such climate changes might actually be welcomed. As with most things, winners and losers can be expected....
