Oh... I'm sure of *both* of those things (things are always changing, and the debt is sure climbing...), but you haven't established that 'global warming' is the MOST SERIOUS of all things that I should be worried about. :-)

As with many things, I'm sure the knife cuts at least two ways, so it kinda depends on *who's* ox is getting gored....

If I am a resident of a low-lying Pacific island, or a midwestern wheat grower, (or perhaps a polar bear...), ice melt and rising ocean levels and higher continental temperatures would definitely be a bad thing for me.

But if I'm a Russian interested in drilling in the Arctic, or an Asian or European shipper looking forward to a relatively ice-free North West passage, such climate changes might actually be welcomed.

As with most things, winners and losers can be expected....
