re: Conroe through "friends" how many friends would be willing to give up all they have so you would take a peek at conroe before you would give back to intel? re: directly from eBay or elsewhere LOL, how amd can be sure that it is indeed a conroe and not repackaged by intel FX?

Re: by purchasing one directly from eBay Fantasizing again? There are no Conroes for sale on EBay, perhaps because Intel is having binsplit/yield problems and must be very careful with the few full speed, full cache parts it's been able to produce. search.ebay.com
