There just isn't any way that ZRAM could be integrated with a K8 at this time.

In case the recent die photo's did show use of ZRAM for L3 it's quite a bit more than just a test vehicle. That would be pretty darn fast development,


1. Are you sure it's a Z-RAM, not a bulk SRAM?

2. AMD might have "test vehicles" using Z-RAM as "Z-RAM does not require a single change to the fabs. There are no changes in the process. We've even had one of the Taiwan fabs run some SOI wafers through on a standard bulk shuttle, with Z-RAM devices, in order to get us a quick turnaround. That's a very unusual thing to do, if you are not using DRAM or any of the more conventional technologies."[Innovative Silicon Mark-Eric Jones (CEO)]
