Duh Anne, FEMA is a federal matter, Bush's responsibility.
You're not that ignorant, are you? You just attacked the fraud, waste and inept effort of Bush's Homeland Security/FEMA.

I agree, it's outrageous and Chertoff ought to step down. Bush's entire government just doesn't seem to care about people except on election day.

Brownie really blew it, but you saw the email, how they wanted Brownie to take the heat so Bush and Chertoff could pretend to crack down and fire him, when Chertoff and Bush were actualoly responsible.

BTW, six months after Katrina hundreds of towns along the Gulf are still garbage dumps. New Orleans gets the press but tiny towns for 1000 miles are still devastated.

Under Bush, FEMA is totally inept. Except before the 2004 election when a hurricane hit swing-state Florida, Bush had everyone taken care of (including checks even to people who weren't affected) lickedy split.
