He seemed careful to present a gentle and refined public image, while on another level he reveals a course and hard resolve. His cowboy presentation lacks charm and is off putting to most outsiders and many at home especially partisan opposition. I am convinced that he has an, "Its a tough and thankless job but somebody’s got to do it," view of himself. That type of hardness is rarely appreciated even when it is justified until long after the dust settles. Time will tell. Until then we have everyone’s lovely opinions of him to entertain us.
