Fine but that doesnt mean they live in the same house, does it?

Of course not. It means the people of all religions and ethnicities should (to the greatest extent possible) be treated equally. No more, no less. It means removing Israeli efforts to prevent non-Jews from increasing as a percentage of the Isreali population. It means giving Israel a different name which symbolizes unity of all people rather than a homeland for only Jews.

And what about the arab wish to annihilate the jews which is still their policy today, even if unstated? YOu think maybe they shouldnt have driven their jews out of their countries and into israel. Where are all the iraqi jews for example?

Well, they were driven out AFTER Israel came into existence, so there is your cause and affect. I don't think your average Arab hates Jews. If hatred of Jews is a government policy then that government deserves punishment, and to the extent that Iran harps on Jews (as opposed to harping on Israelis) they should be punished.

That sounds overly simplistic, but there have been long periods where Jews and Muslims have gotten along swimmingly. The existence of a Jewish nation smack in the middle of Arabia which denies Muslim stateless refugees citenship prevents this type of harmony from recurring.

There were population exchanges between india and pakistan you know.

Ok!
