VOOP: Exactly my point. I doubt that they did. If they did, then they made the same mistake they made with Nokia in saying that the royalties would be FRAND rather than 5%. Going forward, I would think that Q would insist that its IP not go into standards unless everyone understands what FRAND means. The FRAND loophole is the reason that Nokia can even maintain that their patents should offset Q's patents.

After going through these machinations with Nokia, I have to think that QCOM will want their royalties to be specified in future standards. jay
