If the DEMs would just listen to the people, they would win easily in '06 and '08. Instead they are just Republican Lite.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee would be foolish to abandon the momentum from a candidate who rises from 19 percent in the early primary polling to capture the DEM nomination. Politics is mo-mo, and if Lamont establishes clear momentum the DSCC would have to back him. I think Schumer is simply paying some good ole' Joe lip service right now, you know, the buddy-buddy thing?
