The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee would be foolish to abandon the momentum from a candidate who rises from 19 percent in the early primary polling to capture the DEM nomination. Politics is mo-mo, and if Lamont establishes clear momentum the DSCC would have to back him. I think Schumer is simply paying some good ole' Joe lip service right now, you know, the buddy-buddy thing?
