I moped without one, and will continue to do so. I made a decision when I got the moped that I would rather enjoy the freedom and take my chances Your noggin can be puree at far less than the top speed that moped can go. :) I've been in and witnessed too many close-calls on bikes to take a chance. I like my head without dents, thanks. Its bad enough what a spill will do to your body. When I was a young kid, I saw a motorcycle go over, and the guy slid across the concrete for a good 10-20 yards. He left his legs in a red smear across the road. Not nice. Derek
