It is hard to see much in terms of gains (of revenues or profits) in the current pricing environment for either Intel or AMD.

BTW, now that AMD cut prices of SC processors, AMD is back to top 4 of the top 5 processors at Newegg, so we go back to status quo, which is that it will be hard for Intel to make gains on AMD in SC area. AMD may have been a little late on the SC cuts, but still acceptable, since there were some cuts earlier.

Anyway, there may be a new equilibrium now, but at much lower price level. AMD is still vulnerable in DC area to unit market share loss due to higher prices.
