Stated plainly, they need to come out and state specifically that they have no intentions of "colonializing Iraq." That they intend to respect the sovereignty of the Iraqi nation by not approving of the US President just showing up in Iraq without informing the democratically PM of Iraq etc. etc.

I thought that pretending that everything was fine in Iraq and there were no security problems was what the Democrats were accusing Bush of doing. Now you're telling me it should be the Democratic platform!

Translated into reality, it = cut and run.

No kidding Chinu...open up Iraq to someone besides Haliburton.

The sooner the US leaves, the sooner things will return to normal.

The naysayers have said there have been no plans offered. Well number one is that the folks in control don't have a plan.

Plenty of plans have been offered and rejected.

1. Don't invade Iraq, it's not warranted to any degree. REJECTED.

2. Let the inspections go forward. Press for human rights. REJECTED.

3. If you go to war make sure that it's the last resort and build a broad coalition like the Gulf War. REJECTED

4. Make sure you send in 250,000 troops minimum. Gulf war had 500,000 coalition troops. REJECTED.

5. Reach out to the world of nations to join the coalition. How many times has this one been put forth? REJECTED.

6. Retain the Iraqi Army. REJECTED

7. Train a new Iraqi Army. Properly fund the effort try to attract the old Iraqi Army. We're way under funded on this effort. REJECTED. "When the Iraqis stand up we will stand down"...what are they going to stand up with...broomsticks?

8. Redeploy in a phased effort to see if violence can be reduced. Give the current Iraqi forces a chance to stand up...get out of their way. REJECTED

Every plan except stay the course has been REJECTED!

What else is there to suggest? It's all been suggested by many people in the world. REJECTED every time.
