Even fewer Greeks left in Turkey, and they did it much more recently.

Also, which borders are you referring to? I would argue that an Israel that had "ethnically cleansed" itself would still border a largely Islamic country, and would never make peace with those neighbors. Is that good or bad for the planet?

The failure to make peace is the Arabs' fault. If they want to deny reality for 60 years, it is they who are the losers. They have spent this century scapegoating Israel for their problems instead of trying to solve them, and look at the shape they are in now.

Blaming Israel for this is more than a little warped. Before they had Israel to blame, they had Great Britain and France; now they have the US. If you're of a mind to picture yourself as the innocent victim of a grand conspiracy, you can always find who to blame.
