in 1946 there was no Pakistan. India was from the afghan borders to the Burma borders.

Who brought up 1946?

I suggest u research from that as a starting point.

Even today, you have the complete breakup of yugoslavia to contend with. How long will the colonial imposed borders of africa last. In the west the units grow (EU). In the rest of the world where old fashioned nationalism or islamicism exist, states break up. What typically could occur now is an imperialist power picking off the new ethnic states. An expanding china or a reivigorated russia are candidates for expansion or in russias case re-expansion.
