At least the people that fall into the river get cooled off quickly! The soggy ride home would be a bit uncomfortable.

One of the scientists I am working with is quite klutsy and we were afraid he might fall in. He sat down in the dark and missed the chairs.

We are staying in the NW quadrant of the city so it's a bit of a drive to the riverwalk........but well worth the time as it's a gorgeous place to stroll.

I'll remember that name, Tom's ribs. Thanks for the tip! We'll be going again in mid July.

We went to a place called Rudy's to eat barbecue. It's on the outskirts of SA driving west off route 10. Everything is served on butcher paper......no plates. The barbecued meats were all cooked over wood and it was excellent.

Some of all the proceeds of what they call "Sauce for Soldiers", goes to help some of the men and women on the bases near SA.
