LOL. After all he follows Dubyette who proved that Saddam couldn't ignore the UN by...ignoring the UN.

It's a good thing that rightwingers don't think much because if they did, their heads would explode from the contradictions. It never ceases to amaze me that so much of the fighting in the world is done under the banners of peaceful religions.

:)

Let's see if I got this correct...Our desire to be civilized isn't as strong as you might think; it still allows us to be as uncivilized as the lowest slugs on the planet.

No.. our desire to be civilized will not stand in the face of an equally powerful enemy who does not desire to be civilized.

And this does not mean the current struggle against Islamo-Fascism since obviously they do not YET represent a threat to our sovereignty.

However, for more than 50 years we have stood ready to unleash nuclear terror upon any nation that perceived they could attack us in a similar manner.

Is that very civilized?

Under YOUR APPARENT RULES, we'd be forced to utterly denounce the concept of "mutually assured destruction" in the interest of being "civilized".

Under the rules, AS I SEE THEM, if they attack you in a certain manner, then you have the right, if not the obligation, to counter-attack them in a manner that they will "appreciate" in order to thwart the likelihood that they might be motivated to repeat such an attack.

In other words... don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

And don't bring daisies and "tie-die" T-shirts either..
