The conflation of Bin Laden and Al Qaeda with Saddam Hussein and Iraq is bizarre.

Jordanian secret service puts Zarqawi in Baghdad as late as 2002. He was also known to hang out with Ansar Al Islam in Kurdish northern Iraq. Not likely Zarqawi would be hanging out in Baghdad with Saddam implicit knowledge if not support. Zarqawi claims he is Al Qaeda in Iraq. Seems like some connections to me.

Keep your eyes peeled...as they say. I feel certain many of your questions, and all of our questions, will be revealed in time. The time may be sooner than later too. Some of the papers found in the recent al-Zarqawi raid may shed more than a little light on many questions.

But as for me right now, it is bizarre NOT to even question that two of the major terrorist groups of Saddam, and bin Laden, would NOT have met.

What do you think al-Zarqawi was doing in Iraq at least by October 2002?

Was he just visiting some friends?

Did he come before he was Al-Qaeda?

Did he know other Al-Qaeda in Iraq? Or did he bring the "vision" to them?

Would Saddam's Republican Guard not have known he was there?

Or was he just playing TidlyWinks with friends?
