I heard the Dead sing El Paso at Farm-Aid. I heard Marty Robbins sing it in El Paso. I think the Dead did a better job, but Robbins was at the end of his career at the time. He kind of let the audience do most of the singing. Homer & Jethro performed a hilarious version of the song and my brothers and I pestered my dad to buy a 45 of it after the show. I still have those words memorized. TP
