The smearvets were a hoax, a rightwing dirty trick and smear campaign, and you know it. Quit pretending they were some kind of patriotic group. They had nothing to do with the truth nor patriotism. And only four out of 250 had ever even met John Kerry, much less fought with him. None of them fought with him on his boat. To a man, the smearvets who spoke out were intentional liars, paid-off smear jockeys, longtime political dirty tricksters and just plain extreme rightwing radicals. The group also included the same behind-the-scenes dirty tricks expets who smeared John McCain in 2000, and it was all paid for by Tom Delay-connected corporate money. Not a single smearvet told the truth about anything, they were merely trying to defend the atrocious and dishonest Vietnam and Iraq wars and keep two corrupt draft-dodgering, profiteering chickenhawks in power over a far better and far more honest man who happened to be a bona fide Silver Star winning combat hero. Shame on you for perpetuating this lie. Just one lie on top of another with you, isn't it? All in defense of death and corruption.
