I think 18 months without real growth isn't long enough to really determine a peak. You only know you were at a final peak well after you start going down. In any case debating whether we are indeed at peak oil is another whole complex issue that I don't really want to get in to now.


I'm putting out about 5 K for solar, after rebates and credits.


The cost is what is paid before rebates and credits not after. Someone else might be paying part of that cost but it is still a cost.

Blair thinks we have 7 years to act.

Blair seems to be basing this on when the Kyoto protocol expires, not on some sudden tipping point in the earths climate. Its a little unclear because he does say yes in response to questions about a tipping point, but he does seem to be focused on a next stage after Kyoto rather than some climate projection/model.
