You might be exercising a different definition of 'fact' than I use. I might label that an opinion or even a perspective; I doubt I could go with fact unless there was some sort of official statement or document to back it up. I recognise that you see this Administration as your opposition.

I was simply stating what I would view as a reasonable and honorable outcome that could be labeled a 'win'. I wasn't trying to speak for the administration per se.

In any event, I wouldn't make declarations of fact about how my enemies or friends see things, without a great deal of confirmation from them. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't do that.

Which is why we will never "win". The Iraqis will not accept a puppet regime, any more than the Vietnamese did.
