Considering the per capita and total consumption numbers I crunched yesterday your latest charts correspond very well.

The US and Canada are first and second in per capita usage and also show the least change by percentage, so the 2 countries are much more alike in energy consumption than people commonly think.

Canada however, is able to meet their consumption needs domestically while the US currently does not. The good news for the US though, are the numerous Ethanol plants now under construction here.
