The real message om that story is why anyone is basing a $200 million computer/contract on an Opteron if Woodcrest and family are so good and so available this year?

The CSI version of the NGA should be available by then- no?


With CSI, Woodcrest could have been a competitor, without it, it probably wasn't.

BTW, Deerhound and Cerebus catch up where Rev F is lacking, vs. Woodcrest and CSI based Nehalem (sp?) seems to be launched in 2008, while Deerhound is allegedly mid 2007, Cerebus end 2007, early 2008, allowing sufficient time for build and testing.
